"My
passion is to bring history to life in a way that is
real and relevant to modern readers and
viewers." |
Jane
Hampton Cook is known for making history memorable and
relevant to today’s news, current events, issues of faith,
and modern-day life. A public speaker and frequent media
guest, Jane is the author of six books on American history
and other topics. She served former President George W. Bush
as a webmaster for five years, including two years in the
White House and three in the
Texas
governor’s office. She lives with her husband and two
young sons in Vienna, Virginia.
Benjamin Franklin once quipped “If you would not be
forgotten as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write
things worth reading or do the things worth writing.” Many
such as Franklin and George Washington have
done things worth the writing. Jane hopes
each new book is increasingly worth the reading, each speech
worth the hearing, and each TV segment worth
remembering.
White
House Experience
Jane served as White House deputy director of
Internet news services from 2001-02, where she designed and
developed content for Whitehouse.gov, the official White
House website. Her love of history skyrocketed when she
discovered that posting historical stories about presidents
and the White House on whitehouse.gov were among the
site’s most popular pages. The experience cemented her
decision to pursue historical topics as an author. In 2003
she received a fellowship from the Organization of American
Historians and the White House Historical Association to
conduct historical research on presidents, first ladies, and
the White House.

Hampton Cook has put as a new face on the traditional image

often associated with history. She has been a guest on

Beck, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The
Live
Desk
,
America
’s Newsroom, and Weekend
Live on the Fox
News Channel as well as SKY News, CBN’s Newswatch,
